Kahlo Flower | Giovani Zanolino

Frida Kahlo was a groundbreaking Mexican artist famous for her intense self-portraits, which often depicted her physical pain and life experiences. She became an artist after a devastating bus accident at 18 left her with lifelong injuries, f orcing her into recovery and sparking her artistic journey. Her work, marked by vibrant colors and surreal elements i nspired by Mexican folk art, explored themes of identity, suffering, and the human body. Kahlo had a tumultuous marriage with fellow artist Diego Rivera and was a politically active communist. Though initially more recognized in the U.S. and Europe, her posthumous fame grew significantly, establishing her as a feminist icon and one of Mexico's greatest artists.
