AILSA ANASTASIA
Ailsa Anastatia (b. 1978, Curaçao) is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice spans installation, video, painting, and mixed media.
Her work is centered on themes of space—both physical and psychological— and explores the complex relationships between people, land, memory, and cultural identity.
Anastatia studied at the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming in Tilburg and the Amsterdam School of the Arts, and has since exhibited in Curaçao and internationally. Through her art, she reflects on socio political landscapes, environmental change, and the lasting impacts of colonial histories. In addition to her artistic practice, she has been teaching at Kolegio Alejandro Paula since 2007.
